At the Boussias & Cyprus Tourism Awards, Thanos Hotels & Resorts was recognised with three distinctions that reflect both the group's heritage and its forward-thinking approach to hospitality.
An Honorary Award Five Decades in the Making
Thanos Michaelides, Owner and CEO of Thanos Hotels & Resorts and President of the Cyprus Hotel Association, received the Honorary Award for his long and lasting contribution to Cyprus tourism, a recognition that spans five decades of building one of the island's most respected hospitality groups.
Gold for Technology and Destination Branding
Thanos Hospitality Services claimed two Gold awards at the same ceremony. The first recognised WebPMSHub360, an AI-native reservations and operations platform conceived and developed by Ioannis Ioannou, Head of Technology, built entirely in-house and now live across five properties. Since its April launch, it has saved over 1,000 operational hours per month.
The second, celebrated the Amyth of Nicosia: A City of Two Tales campaign, a destination branding initiative that positioned Cyprus's capital as one of Europe's most compelling and misunderstood cities.
