Thanos Hospitality Services is delighted to be involved in the ambitious and visionary rebirth of Berengaria Hotel in Prodromos, first opened in 1931. A collaborative revival, the project draws on the storied property’s legend as a ‘Hotel of Kings’—named for Queen Berengaria who married Richard the Lionheart in Limassol in 1191—while also visioning a thrilling new chapter of luxury hospitality for Cyprus.

At an altitude of 1,400 metres, Berengaria elevates Cypriot tourism beyond the beaches. Reopening in spring 2026, the regal stone hotel will have 30 rooms and suites connecting guests to the island’s lesser known but mesmerising mountain region. Here, contemporary design, high-end facilities, and renowned Thanos Hotels & Resorts hospitality will come together with verdant landscapes, soaring views, the health-giving properties of fresh mountain air and exciting winter sports.

This timeless sanctuary will also play host to outdoor and indoor pools and a state-of-the-art spa for luxurious revival, alongside world-class dining and heartfelt home-from-home service for year-round serenity.
